Solo Performance by John Goldsby
I'm thrilled to share one of our coolest ever performance videos and accompanying transcription with you. It features the great jazz bassist John Goldsby with a classy solo performance in an awesome location. It was filmed after a late finish for his recording sessions for John's soloing course Tell Your Story. The recording studio is accessed via a warehouse and John couldn't resist bringing his bass out to enjoy the acoustics whilst it was empty. The studio managed to record the bass with a microphone using several long cables, and whilst there's a slight hum from the air conditioning, the bass sound is just epic! One of our wonderful videographers jumped into action to film and it was all done in a few minutes.
We loved the performance so much that I wanted to share a transcription that you can download via the link below and practice at home. Enjoy!
