Double Bass Setup with Yuri Goloubev

Interview with Yuri Goloubev

We welcome back Yuri Goloubev this week in his second interview with us, all about double bass set up. Yuri has quite a unique setup and tells us about why he likes to set up in that way, what strings he uses, and about his basses. Yuri is known for his virtuosic technique, so I wanted to find out how important instrument set-up is to him, and what tips he has to improve playability.

There’s also a solo performance at the end of the video where Yuri performs ‘If I should lose you’ by Ralph Rainger.
