Interview + Performance with Nina Harries
We are thrilled to publish this really special interview with Nina Harries, where she shares her music with us and plays three full-length tracks. Listen in for beautiful, resonant bass lines, stunning vocals, and some epic bass percussion. We also chat with Nina about her compositional processes, her use of harmonics and playing techniques, and find out more about her.
Nina Harries is a British double bassist, singer-songwriter, and soloist with a unique, cross-genre compositional style. She studied at the Royal College of Music with Enno Senft and has played with artists such as Katie Melua, Anoushka Shankar, and the Akram Khan company. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2019 which features an eclectic mix of contemporary tracks, two of which are played in this video.
