Using 'Triad Pairs' to Create Walking Bass Lines Over 'So What'

Lesson with Danny Ziemann

When creating walking bass lines it's easy to become too reliant on conventional arpeggios or scale-based patterns. Using 'Triad Pairs' is a great way to add variety and can sound really compelling if done well. In this lesson, Danny Ziemann demonstrates how to use them over the jazz standard 'So What'.

Big thanks to Jon Chamberlain on piano and Steve Hanley on drums who are featured in this lesson.
