Playing chords on the double bass is a really satisfying thing. The instrument seems to shine in this setting, especially with simple 2 note chords. In this video I talk you though my approach to playing chords and teach you to my composition ‘Out of Focus’ which is featured at the start.
Chords are also a fantastic way of monitoring your intonation by referencing your ‘stopped’ note, with an open string.
