Performance of Ginastera’s Variations Concertante by Joel Quarrington and Ben Powell

In this video, we welcome classical bass virtuoso Joel Quarrington to the channel. Joel and pianist Ben Powell perform a stunning rendition of Ginastera's Variations Concertante. It's a gorgeous piece and Joel's expressive playing really shines in this performance, so it's the perfect way to welcome him to DDB. It’s even more remarkable as Joel is performing on my double bass, which is tuned in 4ths, rather than his usual 5ths tuning. More on that later!
