Double Bass Solo from Mahler's Symphony #1
In this lesson, Lauren Pierce teaches one of the most famous bass solos from the orchestral repertoire. It’s taken from Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 at the start of the third movement and I’m sure you will recognise the tune! It’s a minor version of Frère Jacques and is a really haunting melody that all bassists should learn, regardless of what style of music you play.
