Introducing our newest DDB Artist
I'm thrilled to introduce our newest tutor at Discover Double Bass, the wonderful early music specialist, Heather Miller Lardin!
In this video, I meet early music specialist, Heather Miller Lardin to discuss all about her and her new online course at DDB, Baroque Double Bass. We cover a range of topics including Heather's two instruments, gut strings, tuning, frets, playing on period instruments, and more! There's also a very special performance by Heather's superb early music ensemble at the end of the video.
Heather is an early music upright bass performer, teacher, and specialist based in Philadelphia, USA. She is the principal bassist of the Handel and Haydn Society and director of the Temple University Early Music Ensemble. If you enjoy this video and want to learn more from Heather, check out her course Baroque Double Bass.
