Tune Up! A simple scale exercise

Quick Scales Exercise with Geoff Chalmers

This simple scale exercise will help you master the fingerboard and get comfortable moving in and out of thumb position. It's a simple major scale played using two notes per position, but as you move up the board...it gets a lot harder! So, take your time, focus on the transition in and out of thumb position, maintaining a good hand shape, and careful shifting to see the best results.

If you’ve found this exercise useful, you might also like this one we released last week.
