Brazilian Hat Trick by John Goldsby - Analysis and Performance
In this lesson, John Goldsby teaches his original composition Brazilian Hat Trick. Originally recorded on his 2001 album Viewpoint, it features a bossa style groove in 3/2, some tasty bass playing, and an outstanding solo! John is joined in the studio by pianist Jamil Sheriff and drummer Caroline Boaden.
This is a preview lesson from John’s course ‘Jazz Bass Vol. 2: Stretching Out’. Many of the lessons feature a live band, detailed transcriptions, and play-along tracks. It's all of the good stuff which has transformed his students’ playing, and it can do the same for you too!
