Groove Tune - Short Study Piece for Double Bass
In this lesson I teach a short study piece for double bass called 'Groove Tune'. It's a four bar riff which moves around the fingerboard a lot. This means you have to really focus on your shifting to play in tune. There are open strings and harmonics which you can use to reference your intonation.
I hope you enjoy this short video and learn the piece. Please let me know if you have any questions, feedback or lessons requests by joining the conversation in the comments section at the bottom of this page.
In the video I'm using an Eastman VB200 which was kindly loaned to me for a review video by www.bassbags.co.uk.
I also reference the following lessons:
Unlock the Fingerboard - Geoff Chalmers
Neck Heel Navigation - Ask Geoff & Lauren
The full transcription and backing track for this lesson are included in the YouTube Lessons Guide.
